The SNIRT RUN™ is an ATV Poker Run held on the 2nd Saturday of April each
year. The event is sponsored by the Barnes Corners Sno-Pals Inc. (BCSP) the
proceeds of which are used to maintain and improve trails in the 103 mile trail
system groomed by the club.

The SNIRT RUN™ is held in early April for several reasons:

• Our most important objective is to keep the event safe. By holding it early
  there are many trails which will still have snow from the past winter and
  the speeds will be kept to a minimum
• Approximately 60% of our ridership consist of families with younger riders
  so safety is again our major focus
• Early April fits nicely between the end of the snowmobiling season and
  spring when everyone is busy with spring chores

Since its inception this event has grown annually to easily become the largest
ATV event in New York State. In April 2010 the event attracted over 2400
registered riders. People came from as far away as Virginia and Ohio and all the
New England states! The club is now planning for the 8th annual SNIRT RUN™ to
be held on April 9th 2011 to make it even better.

The SNIRT RUN™ is a joint effort between the Club, the Lewis County Legislature,
several Townships and the various Law enforcement agencies. This one day
event is made possible by the County and Towns by their willingness to pass
resolutions enabling certain roads to be open for the day and for that the Club
is most grateful. Sheriff Talbolt and his staff do an excellent job in patrolling this
event.
